I am stumped, can anyone help.

Our power went out a few times yesterday, once when computer was trying to boot after that the pc got goofy would not boot all the way up. would start windows but then freeze.

Tried to repair windows after many restarts, no help, finally gave up and did a clean install with formating the drive.

Install would freeze up at the same point every time, 19 minutes left to install.

I even replaced the hard drive and tried a clean install, this time never would keep going back to the Repair Install or Escape window after going through the format process and 20 minutes or so after is says starting windows. (The blue install screen, not the actual windows boot up)

Win XP Pro, Foxcon MOBO,

Any ideas on what this could be.

Scratch on the XP CD?

I think you need to clarify your post as I didn't really understand what you were trying to describe after the quoted part. Did the install keep freezing at 19mins, or at another point, with the other HDD? Doug.

Yes would freeze with 19 mins left in the install.

Was the part when its installing startup menu, or startup programs, can remember the exact wording. Start up something.
