I am thinking of getting a new internet security what would you recommend

Hi i have got norton internet security at the moment. I was just wondering what you guys would recommend as a good interne security.

I use the following mixture:

Firewall - Zone Alarm Free - http://www.zonelabs.com
Anti-Virus - AVG Free - http://free.grisoft.com
Anti-Spyware - Spybot Search & Destroy - http://www.spybot.info/en/

They work well and aren't hogs on system resources, no e-mail protection alas.

get the free trial of Kasperysky Anti-virus. if you don't like it, don't buy it. personally, i've been worry free since i started using it.

Try Comodo for a firewall. It and Jetico got the only "excellent" designations from Virus Bulletin for free versions. I haven't tried their free antivirus program,I use Eset. Spyware Blaster is a good anti spyware tool and as long as you don't mind manually updating its free. I haven't had anything on my PC for the 2-3 yrs I'v used it.

Avast, hands down. Free and comes with every thing you need for security.

Etrust patrol is good as well, not free though.

Well, if you are talking about "internet security" packages, I have always liked Panda, Bitdefender, and ZoneAlarm. Usually the one I myself would buy if I wasn't using a free version.

DON'T get Kaspersky, i got a 180 day trial and for the first 4 months or so it was fine, then after that it started thinking it was okay to use 100% of my processor etc. So i shoved it a boot and switched to AVG and i've never looked back
