Most of the time i would say thats true. On the other hand i have sent error report and 'low and behold' i have received a answer. Not often though.

Click Start button - Control Panel
Select Administrative Tools
Double clicks Services in the right pane from the list
Scroll down to Windows Error Reporting Service and right click on it and select Properties
Start the service and change the startup type to Automatic
Click Ok
Restart your PC

I think the error reports get send to a Virtual recycle bin that nobody knows about...and microsoft are laughing at us while they sit on a huge pile of cash.

i just now received an error report about a problem. it was installation of Ulead dvd picture show ver 4. installed several times different ways.

i received an error report about the installation from microsoft. it mentioned in detail about the missing dll file it needed. it asked if i wanted to try and find a fix. said yes. 30 sec later said the dll file was not support with this ver of windows 7 pro. said it would notify me when a fix was available automatically.
