Hey this will be quite alot of writin please bear with me....

Firstly ill start of with my specs:

Celeron 2.4
768 ram
128 mb video
power supply " not sure how many watts" but that still works they checked it with a tester and it came up as workin.

40gb hdd

Umm basicly it was all workin fine then one day i booted up my pc and it came up with a blue windows error screen i dont kno what it said but it said restart your pc, i hit the power button instead and i have never been able to turn it on since , i think i recently installed some new video drivers but i aint sure , alot of my friends said i might have destroyed the bios or some crap.

If my mother board is destroyed i will be buyin an asus k8v - x motherboard and an amd athlon 64 bit 3200+ . but first i wanna make sure it will fix the problem, ive made sure my ram and stuff is combatible so it looks good :).

So any ideas what might be wrong with my pc? any help would be fantastic thanks in advance.

Could be the PSU (just cause an onboard tester says it's working doesn't mean it's so). Have you tried resetting the BIOS since the incident? (Either jump it or remove the battery for ~10 seconds). Post back with the +12V amps and if you reset your BIOS or not. (Could also be a driver problem, but basics first.)

What make/model of motherboard do you have now? :) Does anything show signs of life when you hit the power button?

anthrax sorry i have no idea how to do any of that :( how do i reset the mobo lol, praetor theres no life what so ever when i hit the power button it just does nuffn :( pllz any more help would be great guys

most likely it would seem like ur psu since u are not getting any power from it..

and im sure u didn't touch anything inside since u just shut it down.. but u can try to see if any of ur cable from the power button is connected or might of slip off from the motherboard.
