g5 or high end system

hey i was wondering shoudl i get a g5 or a high end system around teh same price i use it for gaming and video editing but what are the ups and downs of the g5 or teh high end pc thanks

personally im not a big fan of macs for gaming. mainly because of what you pay. yes the G5 dual processors are awesome power but for their price i dont know. id go for the high end pc because the games are more easily attainable and are generally less expensive. correct me if im wrong but most games run in the pc and mac version but mac versions are usually harder to buy. but we must remember the ups of a mac. virus free (for now) and they are usually quite good for photo and video editing. but proce is an issue. PC is very good for upgrading and value compared with a mac

I have, but not many, most of them dont start/install.

That's why you have to buy Mac compatible games. Lots of games are now Mac compatible.

odds are if you have to ask you're probably not really pushing the machine to the absolute limits so you'll probably be best off going for general versatility ... in light of that i'd suggest an AMD Athlon64 X2 based box
