Cant connect to wireless network with my laptop. I can connect to the network with my phone and tablet but my laptop is having trouble. I click connect to network and it tries and says unable to connect to the network. Im not sure if the password is correctly entered or what the problem is so i thought i would try again.
I went to control panel > network settings > Manage wirless networks and i deleted everything in there.
Still when i go to connect it doesnt even prompt me for a password it just says unable to connect. Is there some other log of information that is remembering this network or is there some other potential problem?

It works with the ethernet cord, obviously, please let me know if anyone can help me out.

thanks in advance.

So i couldnt figure anything out so i decided i would just restore my computer back to factory settings. I had a couple annoying registry updater programs anyways.
All is good now
thanks

Hello,

Might be something problem with your windows drivers try to reinstall your drivers from Add remove programs and find some updated drivers from official website.

2nd option is reformat your HDD and reinstall your windows.and install some good Antivirus like Quick Heal and many more in market.

Thanks..!
Let me know if you're facing same problem..!

Good to hear you got it working, but next time diagnostic the problem go into driver manager and see if the network driver / wireless driver was installed if it wasn't then you would of had to gone to your computers manufacture and download the driver from there and installed it. What operating system did you have on it and what was the new one you installed on it?

The solution would also depend on the recency of the problem. Is this an older laptop that's having this problem for the first time? Or is it newer, and this is the initial connection to the network? In both situations, there is the possibility it is the driver. If it is a new problem with an older laptop, though, it could be a condition relating to the network itself. If you get problems like that again, and your drivers are up to date, try power cycling the router/modem. It is possible that it is a router cache issue.

i agree with you n i guess the poster should have even try to disable and enable the wireless card and see before restoring to factory settings
