"I can't get my monitor to hook up!"

So I'm the tech guy all my friends call when they need help, right? Today one of my friends called me to help him hook up his monitor. So I drive on over there to help. I ask him what he's trying to do and he said, "I'm trying to hook up my monitor but it wont fit in the spot." He flips the computer over to show me where, and it is the right spot.

So I give it ago. I'm down on the floor trying to get this thing to hook up, but it just wont. Then I get the idea to look at the pins. More then half of them were bent over in every direction! It took me a good 5-10 minutes just to unbend them without having any break off. Finaly I got it to hook up and work. Who would of thought that hooking up a simple monitor would be such a job?

I built a system for a friend, got it all up and running and the only thing left to do was set up his sound system. So I look at the documentation, hook it up, and no sound. I spent 30 min looking in the control panel, checking drivers for the sound card. Then I looked at the back of the subwoofer and there was a small power switch underneath the power cord. Nothing in the documentation said there was a power switch on the back of the subwoofer, the only mention of a power switch was on one of the satellite speakers.

Pissed me off, and made me look like an idiot!
