Hi guys,

i am running XP pro and am trying to host a website on the internet but cant. i can do it locally using my local ip and WAN ip so the port forwarding is working but any computer on the internet cannot see me.

port 80 is open and i have enabled NAT on my modem. i am using annon authentication in IIS. i have spoken to my ISP who tell me the port is open.

dont really know where to go from here. my ISP isnt helping me at all. :(

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

wow, yeah i guess im the lucky one... anyway what happened to the whole internet being free thing.

just a thought.........im getting ready to do the same thing. there others more qualified. can you access from from another computer. (neighbor)

if so take down the software firewall. Maybe bypass your router and plug directly into the the computer. Ya have to eliminate something. got to start somewhere.

good luck.

I would not take down NAT to your IIS web server. That is like parking your car unlocked with the keys in it. You will get attacked by a botnet or spammer and it won't be pretty.

i was only suggesting where the problem mght be. not putting everything back to normal. sorry. my fault.
