I cant watch Youtube Videos! Help!

Ok this has been happening for the past month and a half now. I thought it would go away but it wont. After I watch one video, when I go to my next one, this little box comes up and I cant watch it.

And it pops up on everything I click on youtube: Favorites, comments, favorite etc etc

Anyone know how to fix it? Its really REALLY irritating me. Thanks

How annoying. Seems like a setting or something is messed up.

Do you have an extension called Download Helper installed? Or Avast Antivirus?

I found this on Firefox forums. These people seem to have found a solution. Maybe it will work for you?

If I was you, I would go to Tools--> Add-ons and uninstall all the extensions and disable the plugins until you find the culprit.

Of course, you could just install Opera or Google Chrome. :P

Oh, you know what I did have Avast and thats when the problem started! And yes it was Avast! I appreciate the help Dean! Id give ya rep but they dont do it in this forum so... +Happy Mexican for you! :D
 
Pretty annoying when it comes to a situation like this.

Step 1. Uninstall your internet browser and re-install it again - Try using Mozilla Firefox

Step 2. Uninstall Flash player, Then Re-Install It.

Step 3. Open browser, youtube and it should work.

Sometimes when this happens you just need to update your version of Flash Player at the Adobe website. Takes like 5 seconds.

Wow. Issue was completely resolved on March 6th - the same day of the original post. Yet people are still posting answers three weeks later... I wonder - is it that they don't understand the concept of a help-based forum? Or are they simply ignoring all other posts except for the first post..? Or even that they feel like they have something important to add? I find it very bizarre - I see this behavior in every forum I'm a member on. I guess the concept is always new to the newcomer. *shrugs*
