I don't have a clue

I've been reading through the threads for a few hours and I can't find anything to help me.

My hard drive bit the big so I bought a new one; a sata drive. Why? I have no clue. Anyway, I plugged everything in and started it up. I have the computer booting to CD so I can partition the drive and install windows. I'm getting an error that says bootable disk not detected. I talked to a friend who said the sata drivers aren't installed, that I need to put them on a floppy and press F6 when it says too. Well, I don't have a floppy drive connected but decided to try the sequance anyway. I turned the computer on and no where do I see where it tells me to hit F6. There's a spot where it says to hit F10 to do something. I went in there and saw the hard drive but I'm not sure what I'm suppose to do. It says something like, mirroring, stripping, spanning, so on. Anyway, I rebooted and continuously hit F6 but it still loaded to the not detecting a bootable disk message.

What am I doing wrong and what am I suppose to do?

It sound like even though you think your booting to the CD its still trying to boot to the blank Harddrive, your getting the old bootable disk not detected.
