You simply dont "just" burn it onto the DVD heehee ... that would be too easy and no fun. What you'll need:
- An encdoder (say something like TMPGEnc or CCE ... get TMPGEnc much easier to work with for beginners)
- All the applicable codecs (odds are if you can play the MPG or AVI then you'll be fine)
- FIre up TMPGEnc, feed the source file through the appropriate DVD template ... it will pop out a MP2/WAV and M2V file
- GRab an authoring proggie like DVDLab (there are tons others that just the one I use), "build" your DVD (make menues etc). From that program (or a similar one), build the IFO/VOBs
- Grab a burning proggie, say Nero, select the DVD Video template and burn the IFO/VOBS. BUrn slow.
- Enjoy (provided your standalone reads it)
