Hi, I am buying a new computer. I dont know what kind to get, a PC or a Mac
I am a medium wieght gamer, I play games racing games and alittle bit of shooters. I do alot of video editing. I am thinking of getting an iMac or a Dell XPS 420, or build a computer. If I were to get a Mac I will put Bootcamp on it for my games. I like all the awesome programs for Mac, like garageband and soundtrack, but the graphics cards on Macs arent the best for games either. So, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's simple, build one yourself. You will save money and get better parts than you can get with a Dell.

Dell is the worst right now as far as reliability and cost vs worth.

Mac? Well.. you did say you wanted to play games, so skip them.
 
I suggest you build it yourself to.

You get a lot bang for your buck.


If you need help getting the right parts, tips with building it, or anything, let us know.
 
Thanks guys. Yeah, I have no idea what to do (what parts to get) I dont understand things like memory and the numbers like DDR2 667 or DDR3 1800, can anyone tell me the difference? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I do build a computer I would want a gaming rig.
