I don't mind OSX but hate Apple.

well i get why you say this but he probably should've told someone before messing with the stuff, and with the history he has where he released other issues to the public, to the company he would be more of a liability than an asset.
 
I personally think it's a BS call on Apple's part. He was testing his theory and it worked. That's how security experts work!

How is apple suppose to have top security if they get pissed everytime someone discovers there loop holes? He was doing them a favor and I am sure that after they pulled him off it they went back and fixed the issue with no credit to him. Apple is to much of a tight a**.

But if you read the article it implies he never told anyone of this thing that he was exploiting to test, but in the past he had already leaked other security risks namely the battery code being the same as something else so if a hacker had admin access they could basically dissable the battery or something, so if this person who leaked that was on my staff i'd have him on a shorter leash, and then he turns up attempting to exploit this, that is a cause for concern.
