i got a problem

i´m a noob so i please don´t pester me about this being in the wrong forum, insted just tell me where it should be.
(even if this is the wrong forum, i still hope you´ll help me)

so here goes, i´ve bought this new computer, and then i installede my games and other stuff i had on my old computer (there where never any problems with that one)
and then suddenly when i played one of my games... my computer suddenly restarted... and i don´t know why (so hoping you can tell me)
and it always does it when i play. sometimes i can play for like an hour, and sometimes only 5 minutes,
and i´ve made sure that i fullfill the requrements i mean my friends play the games on computers baddere then mine....
now ofcourse i´m no expert,
but could it be becouse it only has one cooler ?
or mabye because it´s a new computer and an old srceen ?

i use windows XP professional...
i thougt you migth like to know...
 
It seems like either the video card or cpu are overheating, causing it to restart while playing games. Do you know what video card and/or CPU you have? We may be able to recommend a program which will tell you the temps, and in turn let us know if thats the problem.
 
acpi is not the processor, but it is most likely an overheating problem. If you get an error message after it reboots then it maybe a stop error, which occurs if you install new hardware without the drivers that came with it (sound card). If no error message then it is probably just an overheating issue. Buy a couple of fans, and leave the side door open if possible until you get the fans.
 
OMG ! i actually do get an error message after the reboot
but i got a cd with my computer with different drivers on, and that is the only ones i installed
 
did you install any new hardware lately?
If so, remove it and use the computer to see if it occurs again. I actually had a problem with my sound card when I updated the drivers, and it went back to normal when I downgraded to the ones that came with it.
Try to send the error report to microsoft, it will tell you if it's not a stop error..

and if that dosent work then mabye i should try and stop touching myself at night and ask for gods help

anyone know what to do ?
 
I say you didnt install all your drivers..............and yea, you might want to stop touching urslef and ask for gods help........
 
i´ll try and reinstall them then...
and make sure i get everyone installed this time...
althoug i´m pretty sure i did get em all the first time
 
oh ya and... i also got another problem. sometimes my screen flashes two times and then my mouse courser dissepear. i can still clik things thoug, i just can´t see it
and then i have to reboot to make it reappear....
it can be very annoining
