I got REALLY bored playing Fallout 3

Seems like every time i get a new quest i have to walk for 20 minutes, kill one or two things, then go all the way back. Lots of repetitive creatures, VATS system is cool but gets boring after a while. Anyone else experience this?
 
I have experienced this : P
I haven't played fallout 3 for a few months for that reason.
But I plan to start playing it again as soon the GOTY version comes out with all the DLCs :D
When this happens I move on to another game until I get bored again, maybe you should try the same!

Yeah, its not a bad game though. It really is cool. I need to reinstall or sell this puppy. Its like oblivion, so if people liked that they'll like fallout 3.
 
it';s gotta be one of my all time favorites.
they have a pittsburgh and some other city expansion out too if you've beaten the original
 
Really hate this game. Play just for a few hour, then I stop. This game is so slow. To go from place to place take alot of time. I prefer a faster game like COD4.
 
I played through fo3 and I have to say that for me it was pretty average, when it comes to open world fps-rpg hybrids, stalker did it better and did it first

Yeah I could see how you would be disappointed if you expected the game to be like COD4. Fallout is not an FPS, it is an RPG that happens to be in first person and has guns.
 
Theres a lot of good mods out for free for it. Try looking through them. I have no personal experience with them but I was talking to a friend today who said they were great.


...or play a different game ;)
 
I played it for maybe an hour, was bored out of my mind and some ****ing robot would chase me around killing me, and when I would reload it would still be after me so I was ****ed.

I like RPGs but I hate ones that just drag things out to hours and hours on end.

hhahah I had this happen. Its stupid, it was a security bot in the megaton armory.
 
I liked Oblivion a lot more than FO3. FO3 is too repetitive, everything looks the same, and the quests are rather difficult to find.
 
Oblivion and FO3 both had their strong points but I think I liked the FO3 atmosphere. I did play Oblivion for 30 hours in 1 weekend when I first got it while I stretched the play of FO3 a bit longer, but both were fun and good for a bit of entertainment. FO3 had some good laughs, the nukacola lady and the Republic of Dave being some memorable ones. I can't think of any in Oblivion but it was fun nevertheless. I wish the DLCs for FO3 would be more like the main world, the DLC
worlds seem to be more like a single huge quest (really really awesome quests but still...)

I have the same issue with Oblivion and F3 too.

Id play for 60-70 hours then get bored. I recently just got done playing both games again recently. Great games but only so many hours in them :)
 
FO3 is a good game, but you have to just have patience. Right now I am replaying as building a melee character which is quite hard since you get the crap shot at you when you try to run into combat. however, hand to hand critical are awesome!

There are a ton of mods and a huge community so the game is worth it because of all the free content you get with it.

true but i loved side quests in oblivion. guilds and random quests were always a bit different (like the one where you had to go inside that guys dream and find him, and give him back all of his characteristics lol) i never real found quests like that in fallout.
 
All you guys saying that you get bored walking for ages to places and back...you do know that if you open the map and click on a location you already know you can just "fast travel" there? Basically instant transport...and when you have to go to a an unknown place on the other side of the map don't walk...fast travel to a nearby place and then walk the short distance.

I enjoyed the game. Awesome ending...if not some what annoying for those who were leaving some side quests till later...

Well i guess KOTOR is pretty good. Guild Wars and Warhammer are both garbage.
 
LOL... I saw my friend playing on his PS3 once... Very very boring and stupid. Even he said the ending was lame. :P
