I hate irony
About 3 months ago I got steam and put a few free games on it. After about a month I got rid of steam because I got bored of it.
So now 3 month later I get half life2, great I already have a steam account! Now lets see (/me types in) Name? Hmmm oh ya! Kobaj. Password? Hmmm, ******-nope dang, ******-nope dang, *******-nope dang. I continute this on for about 30 minutes testing every password I have ever made. Ok so maybe the account is wrong. Name? KobajG-nope dang, Kobaj.g-nope dang, ECT. Well lets recovery system-great! Email ****@gmail.com "We have sent you an email" /me checks email-none, dang. Continue this on again. I went and tried every single name in the recovery system. Only one was real-Kobaj. Now I know the name is right. So maybe the password is messed up.
So I give steamhelp a email explaining the problem and a guy comes back. "If you know the rest of this email, we will give you your account back.

The heck? Now I had never EVER seen the ending gmx.de so I tell the guy, "I have never seen that before, maybe there is another way, are you sure you didnt grab the wrong email" And I get this back. "Our records indicate that the kobaj account was created on 12/17/05 - as an alternate solution, I would recommend that you make a different account....."
Apperantly before that date there had been no kobaj account-so how did I have steam? This doesnt matter, I made a new account now.
Now for the ironic part about 15 minutes before I redownloaded steam and could have gotten the account I would have liked, this guy stole it. I am ticked off. This sucks. I now see why alot of you guys dont like steam.
