I had all my music and my Itunues folder on an external hard drive that i can't get access to at the moment, but without being able to get to that i can't open iTunes as i get the message can't find itunes folder or create one because it cant locate the "My music" folder.
does anybody know how to fix this?

well guess what ? i so happen to have an IPOD, do you ? :P
ok then create the folder, did you even try to do it ? it's probably a simple thing you're overlooking, if it can't find the folder then most probably the drive letter itunes was accessing is not the same.
It's better to keep your music on a static drive if you're using itunes cause you're most likely to encounter errors as such.

yup, love my ipod and it's the only reason i have itunes.
I have tried re-creating the Mymusic folder and putting a itunes folder in it. but it doesnt find it and i can't open i tunes to change the default directory.

what do you mean "a itunes folder" in it ? why not re-import the folder into itunes ? its as simple as media player, just "add to library" problem solved :)

because i cant open itunes without the My Music folder with the itunes library file in. least as far as i know i cant.

what i do it open itunes and then import the music from "My Ipod" music and then connect my ipod.

Reinstall itunes and get the latest version and the see what happens.

Don't worry ive figured it out, just had to re create the folder and set the directory.
cheers for the effort folks.
