i hate my computer

backstory:

got a new videocard, so got a 500w mios psu
after a few weeks i started getting terribly unplayable artifacts in crysis
went and got a 700w rocketfish power supply

now it appears liek the rocketfish is randomly turning off power to the keyboard and to all my usb ports. I would plug in my usb mouse in to the different ports and try to use it, sometimes it would work sometimes not, and always it would stop working 5-25 minutes after i boot the system. This is with reboots in between moving it.

so now i just got home and was able to try the mios supply. it did the same thing, and so i restarted, and it froze before windows loaded. restarted again, i get this message:
windows could not start because of an error in the software.
please report this problem as:
load needed DLLs for kernel.
Please contact your support person to report this problem.

im guessing i either have a virus, or a bad rocketfish supply and... i dont know why the mios one isnt working now, when it used to work?

Not to sure if its a virus, sounds like a hardware problem to me. Anything over clocked on your PC?

By the sounds of things you are using windows XP? If you are try this load needed DLL's for kernel.

If you give us your specs we can work out the right size psu as that might be the problem if you have a high end computer for gaming and 500w might not be enough. I'm pretty sure that the Rocketfish 700W is only a Huntkey Titan 650W.
And since that 650W is 650W peak at 25°C, we should call a spade a spade and say it's actually a 550W. So you only got an extra 50w,
Seriously, it's not a bad PSU, but Best Buy asks a 700W price for it. You can buy virtually ANY 550W to 650W PSU from Best Buy for LESS money and get a BETTER unit. It just doesn't make sense. I wouldn't pay more than $100 for that RocketFish "700W."
