I have 5G's and I need to build a new computer

For $50 more than the Platinum, you get the 64MB of RAM which may or may not be useful but certainly gives you a just-in-case buffer.
I agree, i would also get the Fatal1ty.

Battlefield 2 is the only game out now that actually supports XRAM, but they should be shipping new games that take advantage of it in the upcoming months.

Well that and I'd hope over the next 3 or so years there will be games making use of the extended voice capacity.

If youre not using the harddrive array and LSI as I have, theres no need for the SSI850.

That and you swapped the EPP memory I had for nonEPP memory.

Well in your post 23 there are some issues:
- The RaptorX is a 10K drive, not 15K
- There's no need for the TurboCool SSI850 ... which is a superb PSU but overkill for the application ... i've used that PSU in specs before as you might note but that's because I usually have one or two heavy videocards (which we have here) but the difference is that I also spec out a boatload of SCSI drives ... in both my and your system specs there are only two drives ... which means the OCZ PowerSupply I picked out (which was signfiicantly cheaper) is a better match for the system

I made a comment about your choice of memory .. I specifically picked the RAM i picked because it has the Enhanced Performance Profile rating (aka SLI certified) ... yours doesnt. What this means however is ... if you pop it into a AM2 box like we've got here ... everything is auto-OCd.

with 2 7900GTX cards & a sound card there is no room for SCSI card i would have given him some SCSI harddrives...

is there a socket AM2 mobo that u can have 2 7900GTX, Sound card, and a SCSI card??? cus all mobos i have seen like this, the 2 7900GTX only leave one slot left for the sound card... is there a way around this?

alright, what type of DDR2 1000 (4gb of it) can he use?
