alright well i bought a 8800 gts 320mb for like 420 thinking my gaming would be huge improvement, overlord on full settings wont plat at 1920 by 1200 or 1600 1200 , runs really slow, bf2142 doesn't play very well on full settings either.i dont understand why there should be any lag with a powerfull card like this it's weird. my computer doesn't suck either

core duo e6420, )overclocked to 2.6 ghz)
1 gig of ram
320 gb sata2 HDD
p5b-vm motherbord
600 w ocz psu

2 gb of ram would help and I think your using your onboard video still and not your new card.

just thought it would of been better then it is

anybody else try overlord on full settings at 1920 1200, how does it run

BTW i have a 24" screen

installed all the drivers? i had a similar thing happen to me untill i realised that i forgot about the drivers.

and i might be wrong, but is there such thing as an "AMD core duo e6400", as stated in your sig?

The 8800GTS 320MB can't handle the latest games at 1920x1200 on max settings. Partly because it only has 320MB of VRAM, but also because games are very demanding, especially when your at those resolutions. Try lower the resolution to 1680x1050 or 1280x768 and see what happens.

I think your expectations for the 8800GTS were a bit too high. Today's games are incredibly demanding, a new GPU (while the 8800GTS is a great card) alone can't always radically improve gaming performance. Especially with 1GB of RAM and on such high resolutions.
