I just shipped my laptop and i got 400 bucks for it. my paycheck comes in on saturday for 650. i was going to get a new computer, now i want the Dr who mega pack.

what should i get?

Windows XP Pro. 32bit.
 
Doctor who megapack...?

Well...it's up to you. I can never see myself spending 650 dollars on a set of DVD's, but that's just me...I can also say that many people here are going to tell you to go for the computer.
 
get the computer, 450 for a bunch of DVDs is too much, if they where blueray or HD then it might be a different story
 
the thing about the dvds are that it isnt just one or 2 movies, not even a bakers dozen. its 42 discs of the second greatest tv show ever(next to southpark, of course). plus its not shown anymore on us tv.


then on the other hand i would like my computer to be in the 21st centry. its a little slow for my tastes.

And i am assuming...you have living money...Meaning... if you do buy a computer for around 1000...youll have money to get food and stuff..and pay the rent.
 
i live in england and there is a totally new series of doctor who so if you were to buy this mega pack it wouldnt be up to date i would save your money but of cource if thats what floats your boat cool go for it .

Forget that... you do realize that you're talking about downloading over 150GB of video... that would take FOREVER.
 
you are correct it is illegal to talk about ways to download or burn copyrighted material but the original post by the purple champ isnt about any of that it is about what to spend his money on.
 
Spend the money on the pc man you wont regret that you will get a lot more enjoyment out of that then a dvd set like that...
 
seriously, is there any competition in those options whatsoever, i feel it wastes my fingers just typing the response, blatantly the PC...

the new series is fine and dandy , (i still dont know which new doctor i like better) and i can and have watched all of them streaming online. but i dig the old series. its the one i grew up on.
