i have an s-video output on my graphics card and i have a s-video to rca cable ..what can i do with this cable? what are the possibilities?

what would be the proper jacks on the tv? is the rca red/white/yellow the same as this blue/green/red?

No they are 2 different types.

Red/White/Yellow= Composite audio video cables, the red/white are audio and the yellow is video

Blue/Green/Red= Component Video and only transmit a video signal. If your Tv does not have blue/green/red jacks you cant use this cable, but what you can do is just get a basic S-video cable and that to transmit video

If your Tv does not have an S-video jack you can pick up a S-video to Rca video cable or adapter, but honestly if you dont have an HD LCD Tv or something along those lines its really not worth connecting the PC to the computer because the picture is kind of crappy
