I have been trying to open this website for ages!

I am able to get into my universtiy internet website when I'm at uni but when I ge home it wont let me log in. Everything on the internet works fine apart from this website.

this is the message I get:

Identity check

You need to enable cookies in your browser if you want to access the requested pages.


I typed this into google and this is the best I could find:to help with my problem

I tried everything and I dont know what to do. :confused:

Are there any computer wizards on here that might be able to help

I've seen a lot of school websites like that, especially for libraries. It's usually to restrict access to students actually on campus. Perhaps the university's server needs to see a certain IP, and those are only available on-campus. If you're off-campus, you can't get in.

I'm sure there's a more technical way to explain it, but basically all the on-campus access points are a local campus network and their routers do not allow access to it from the outside. If you want to access it off-campus, you'll have to contact someone in authority at school for details.

Perhaps someone else here can explain this better. My mind's not exactly sharp tonight.
