i have a t3092 emachine i want to get geforce 8600 gt but i have no clue if it work with my computer i was just wondering if someone will lend me some advice when it comes to video/graphics cards
 
damn that sucks. Is there any Video card that would be good enough for my computer that could run World of warcraft or guild wars with ease and max settings

but for wow,ram is the key makes no lag.2g upgrade suggested.
one nv ti4200 is enough if u can find it,though i doubt..
there are 6800 agp even 7600 agp but no better performances on your old computer.
 
To tell you the truth, I would minimize my investment doing the upgrade--basically, get it running so you're able to do what you need to do, spend the minimum. But 7-series GPUs are running pretty cheap by now, so you're not in any trouble there.

This is the time to begin reading up and saving money to get started on your first build-it-yourself PC. $700-$1000 will get you a very, very good computer, if you're willing to take the time to learn all you need.
 
This computer is fine to play WoW, if you want to play it on MAX settings, your better to look for a 7 series video card considering they're much cheaper these days. Also up the ram to 1gb for XP or 2GB for Vista
 
Man i just bought a xfx 8600gt xxx Zalman and its great. Too bad your mobo doesnt support pci-e b/c your missing out man. I was getting 100fps in LFS on max and no frame rate drops at all except when running fraps. I think LFS maxes out at 100fps b/c its weird that i get no frame rate drops. And i get a constant 60fps on GTR2 with no frame drops at all. Kinda weird. Im gonna go buy GTA: san andreas and COD4 this weekend to test it's limits. I think you should just upgrade your pc to pci-e or just get a new pc b/c the fastest agp slot is still 8x slower than a pci-e slot.

yeah thats what i thought but need to get a decent gpu in here and then get started on my first build. oh and any recommendations on another gpu haha not for my build but more bang for my buck
