I just reformatted to XP...

Okay guys, I'm having a serious problem with my computer. When I first bought it, it came with Windows Vista, I had to reformat to XP because it wore and tore over time and lost some important files and crap, so I reformatted to XP. Problem is, it never came with its motherboard driver CD so I can't do worth shit on it. It can't even connect to a wireless network because I'm missing drivers. I've looked all over the official brand site and stuff for them but I've never found them. Can someone help me out? Isn't there some kind of default driver pack or something?

I have an Acer Aspire M5100, AMD Athlon 64 Processor. I don't know any other tech specs, which is what really sucks because I can't narrow it down any further. But I need my motherboard drivers. The only lead I have to that is the serial number but that's it...

Oh yeah. I'm getting a wireless signal but I can never connect to the network. I'm always getting "Limited or No Connectivity" after it tries to connect for a really long time.

...And my computer's only a year and a half old so there's no way something died.

I'm also kinda confused if we're talking laptop or desktop here. Acer's support page lists drivers for an Aspire 1500 laptop (no M1500 though). Here's a link in case you do have this laptop.
http://www.acerpanam.com/flex/acer/bin/acer.html#app=2766&9e7c-selectedIndex=0&3386-selectedIndex=1&bca4-selectedIndex=1&bf37-selectedIndex=1&4f90-selectedIndex=1
The link won't take you directly there, so click on "Select Product Type", and then click on the notebook picture to find the Aspire 1500 listing. It looks like there are plenty of XP drivers for it.

I, uh, yeah. It's a desktop. Forgot to spec that. But anyway, I was all over the acer site and I downloaded all the drivers I thought I needed but no matter what I do I'm always getting Limited or No Connectivity regardless of whether I try connecting wirelessly or on the line.

...And I meant M5100, haha. Anyway I'm looking over the site and trying to install some other ones, so.

Ah, you have an M5100. No wonder we couldn't find it. Well, there seems to be XP drivers listed for that model too per the same link. Good luck and let us know how it goes for you.

There's one listing for the Realtek Wireless LAN Driver for XP seen right on the list once you use the selector for type(desktop) and select the model number(M5100) now that is cleared up. Once you have that highlighted you simply click the download button.

Thanks guys, turns out the problem was my wireless adapter was just faulty. I'm running an ethernet connection just fine, Iono what the deal was... But I'm gonna replace it.
