When I got my HP (in sig) bestbuy said that for one year they would come to our house and clean the dvd burner because something about every 10 disks that are burned it needs to be cleaned blah blah blah and then after that they would charge some huge amount of money to do it. They never came and cleaned it and its burned over 50 cds with no problems.
That's a load of BS on there part.

yeah i've never had a good experience with best buy and thats why i have decided to never buy another pre-made computer and always do research before buying a computer accessory. I remember when we were buying it my dad said all the stuff he wanted it to be able to do and the sales person said it would then after we bought it she said oh you'll want to buy this and this and that it was all stuff that was cheap but she still lied.

Ah! I love best buy! My friend and I are going to build a kid a computer and he said that money is no object (Kid's a lil' richy.) We are putting everything in there! besides... 100 bucks each on doing something we really love? And to use the latest components? Damn!

trust me, being the only computer literate person in the family is NOT something you want. You may feel all special until your mom calls you at 3 am halfway across the country because she got a popup telling her that her computer is running slow, and you have to try and convince her that it's just an ad while struggling to stay awake.

I would rather everyone think I have no idea what a computer is, let alone how to use one.

i kinda like for everyone to know that i know a litte bit about computers. not for bragging rights or for glory, but because i see an opportunity:

ever since i built my own computer(two weeks ago) a few people at work have asked to me to build rigs for them. i see this as good in two ways:
1. i get to do what i love; work on/building computers:) i know i havent been at it long, but building my system was a blast and it seems very addicting.
2. an opportunity to get more experience in this area of computers and also to make a little bit of money:D (always a good thing).

the people who want me to build for them are all my friends, and since i dont have much experience (yet) i am not gonna charge them much for the work.($20). i find putting a computer together, pushing the power button, and seeing that it actually works to be very rewarding, no matter how much money you are spending or making. what do you guys think?
