I need a counter

OK, I am currently doing an art project for school, and for it, I need a simple counter.

Basically, I just need a way of recording how many times someone pushes a button. Anyone who can help me out here would be greatly appreciated!

Note this is a real life counter, not one for a webpage or connected to a PC. It has to be a standalone button with counter.

It needs to count up. 3 digits i guess. So up to 999?

Now this answer gets a bit messy, the project not the reply ( I think)

Get a common cheap calculator you enter 1+1 they keep pressing the "=" button. you might have to put a cover over it so they only presss the "=" button
