I need a new phone

Hey everyone. I'm looking for a new mobile... I've always loved Nokia phones for the nice interface and ease of use. I was looking at the Nokia E63 - what do you guys think?

I like the full qwerty keyboard, large screen, portable email and all that. I'm a technology junky, I mainly text and sometimes call. What do you guys think? I'd appreciate if you could find something on that site for a similar price range. I won't be buying outright, I'll have it on lay-by for a week or two. Less if I'm lucky. This will be my first smartphone. I currently have a Nokia 2630 and it's a POS.

Thanks everyone.

Well I went into the store today after getting a haircut to find they don't allow lay-by on phones anymore! I thought that was BS since I lay-byed a phone there 2 years ago

I just got a Motorola Droid X & so far so good. It's my 1st smart phone too. I honestly can't see me ever wanting to do anything this phone is not capable of. But, as I said, it is my 1st smart phone, so I'm sure there's some a lot more knowledgeable than me on this subject. Hope it helps, good luck...

That actually looks like a great phone for that price and has a lot of features. A smartphone for around $100 is unheard of in NZ. What is the operating system though? Palm?

It's Symbian OS from what I've read.

As for service providers, we have Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, Virgin, 3, and more smaller companies.

Blackberry is also good..

Although all the phones uses would vary on your provider.. I say you look for a good provider first.

Virgin is a good provider. Vodafone is not.

I'll look into a blackberry, but I love Nokia phones. I'll also look at the N13

If you're looking at the E63 then definitely look at the E73. It's a big step up in build quality and is just overall sexier.

Hey!!! Buddy.I need a new smart phone for my personal use. The phone should of lowest price & it should have facilities of browsing, video calling & recording etc...

Nokia is making really crappy phones now.
Even I was a sony ericson fan but now nokia and sony have been kicked out of the market. All nokia is coming up with now are blackberry look alikes and HTC/Samsung Look alike phones.
Have a look into blackberry phones.I used to hate them at first but I don't know whats about them but the experience is pretty good.Browsing and checking mail etc. Plus you get me as a BBM contact :P LOL jk jk.

And then android they are bit on the high budget side but also pretty good. But remember if you are getting an android phone make sure you get it with a minimum 1GHz processor to run all the apps smoothly.I have used a lower GHz HTC/Samsung phone but it runs games like fruit ninja with a lot of lag.

Samsung also has really nice Android phones.
I think the new SMARTPHONE market is dominated by Apple,RIM,HTC and Samsung.Don't know about motorola(small range of products in India) or LG(never liked it.).
