i need advice

i got a nw computer from a friend but the power supply is broken is it ok to get a 460w power supply the power supply that broke was a 430w but those are hard to find in my country:)
 
Can you not find something like a Corsair CX430 or CX500?

As long as the power supply will physically fit in the case one of those would be fine.

i know but i cant get anything from a diff country al i can get is a Cooler Master Elite Power RS-460-PSAP-I3
 
As long as the wattage is over what the system will pull it doesn't make a difference. You could shove a 1600w PSU in there if it were somehow cost-economical.

I know what you're saying, but given hes relatively new, he could follow this and get a 500W PSU with half the amperage on the 5V rail...
