Hello Everyone,
I'll try to explain my set-up a bit to aid you in helping me. I have a Lenovo M75e desktop computer (model #: 5041A6U) with AMD 760G graphics. The back of my tower has single VGA and single DVI-D (Dual-link) outputs.
As the title of this post suggests, I am trying to implement a dual monitor set-up. I've done some research and have been thrown from one tech support operator to another with little to no help being received. I need to know what I need to do, which video card to purchase, etc in order to run two VGA monitors.
I know the DVI-D cannot simply be converted to VGA via a cable, due to the fact that one is digital and one is analog. I also know that last statement is half true, as supposedly a powered digital to analog converter could fix my problem.
So, if anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. I was able to get two matching monitors (seemingly a feat in my company) and don't want to split the twins up
.
Thanks ahead of time!
