I need help finding good laptop

I have a limit of $1500. I would like to have a AMD processor with atleast 1.8GHZ and a 60G hard drive. 512 memory or better, a decent graphic card and Windows XP Home would be fine for me. I will be using it for school (Computer Programing) and would like to be able to play games on it as well.
 
when u same amd does that mean it can be turion, sempron, or athlon. please specify if u prefer one. but since dell doesnt use amd u might find some good deals from hp.
 
well, i prefer an amd proc. jus because i like to play games. sempron, athlon, turion. don't matter. if anybody knows of any really good deals on intel laptonps feel free to post them on here too.
 
I would check Ebay for IBM Thinkpads, Dell and Toshiba laptops, with intel centrino processors. They have a longer battery life.
But if you want an AMD processor, go for the 64 bit CPU:
Check out Ebay for laptops with the following criteria: at least 2Ghz processors, at least 64MB graphics and 512MB ram.
You will see, there are many laptops with good prices, such as this HP with 128MB video card, 512MB ram and 3200+ Athlon64 CPU:
