I am currently setting up windows, i then inserted the disk that came with it (i figured that the vista disk that came would work with Windows 7), it didnt work, so i looked on the internet and still cant find any drivers. Even though this hardware is Windows 7 ready. The drivers i think are to install motherboard features, but i dont seem to find any windows 7 compatable drivers for this mb on the net.
I have a Asrock N68-S

Vista drivers should work for windows 7. What devices are left that needs drivers after installing windows?

just the driver disk that comes with the motherboard, everything else is installed.
the driver disk that came with the mainboard contains features of the motherboard, like instant boot, energy saver, overclocking app and some other features that the mb utilizes. Everytime i run the disk, it says disk incompatable.
I tried exploring the cd itself, and i found i can install the features directly from there, but im not sure if that will be a good idea, the utilitys just might not work (properly) and would probably fudge up my system. maybe.
what should i do?

I would install them separately and see what happens, can always do a system restore or uninstall them.

On the disc i have a folder called AMD and within that folder are subfolders called VISTA64_AHCI and VISTA64_RAID
what do these mean, and how do i install them? there is no installer among its files.

Those are raid and ahci drivers and if you don't know what they are then you don't need them. Those are actually needed when you install the OS in ACHI mode or in raid mode.
