I need help putting my build together!!!

Ok, ill go tep by step..

Take out mobo, put cpu in it.
Put ac7 cooler on top of cpu.
Opened tower
Screwed in mobo.
Put 8 gb ram in
Put in 9800 gtx and hooked up to aux power for the fan
Hooked up all 4 fans that come with tower.
Hooked up power led reset lines.
Now comes the problem.
I'm trying to install hhd. I would use the ide cable as usual but my hhd doesn't have an ied port.

Can someone walk me through the process with the hhd.

Atm, I can turn my comp on, all fans and leds work. I tryed hooking up to monitor but it says no signal received. After about 30 seconds, the comp shuts down. Its def not a temp problem..

uhm well did your hdd come with some sata cables? (mine came as yellow). and also make sure that your cpu fans screw things are pushed down pretty hard. and is it a stock cpu fan?

If its not a IDE harddrive its probably a Sata,you will need a Sata cable. When you swaped the motherboard did you make sure all the standoffs lined up right. Like one where its not suppost to be and shorting out on the bottom of the board.
 
This is ****en wierd. I got everything 2 work. Dnt know how. It red all 8 gigs of ram and read the hhd which is sata. Stupid me but then I did somthing and now the post code ends at 7f... it goes through a few sequences and 3 beeps and that all. I took out the batter, lets see if that works
 
Oh boy, umm I reset the mobo and pow it starts to read everyrhing and there's a signal to the monitor and it goes through now. But I have a new problem. The compuer shuts off within 30 seconds. Gives enough time 2 enter cmos setup. All fans are working all leds are working the cpu fan{ac7} is blowing. So idk anymore. Could the way I supply power from my psu to all the fans and drivers be the cuase of the shut down?
 
Ohh yea, on the ac7 cooler, I didn't put in one of the pins becuase I cnt get 2 it. Can that cuase the comp 2 shut down? 3 pins are in. It holds tight.. Fan works..
 
Ok cool, that's what ill try 2 do. One more thing, my gfx card 9800gtx has two 6 pin ports for aux power for the fans I guess..
My psu comes with 2 pci-e16 6 port cables and 2 ports specificly for those pci-e cables. Should I use them on the gfx card? I could also use the 6 port cable that goes into the hhd port on my psu. Both methods work, justr dnt know if there's a difference.
 
Ok, everyrthing works. Recognizes everything. Problem is, the comp turns off in like 30 seconds...

What could it be? My memory timing Is 5 5 5 15. Is that the problem?

No real difference. Go to CMOS and take a look at your CPU temperatures. It shouldn't be automatically shutting down.
