I need help quicky please!!

Ok...I bought these HP DVD+R Double Layer DVDs, but on my Nero program I cannot see where to make it so I can use the 8.5 space on the disk, it only shows me 4.38...does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

What version of Nero are you using? It make not support dual layer technology. I know I have to install patches of some of my softeware to use DL disks.

May be dumb question, but you are sure you have a Double-Layer burner? Plus, 69mako's suggestion is also a good one.

its prolly the burner in my opion...make sure it will even recognize that you have a DL DVD...plus it might also be Nero, but i would bet money on the burner

dual layer discs have terrible compatability anyways

i'd only use them for doing backups, and really, for backups i'd suggest using something different rewriteable

they're just a bad media, and expensive to boot
