A format will get rid of everything unless you have perhaps another infected drive(USB flash drive, hard drive, etc) connected. However, are you sure you're doing a FULL format and not simply reloading the operating system?

I ALSO HAD TO RE FORMAT BECAUSE THIS VIRUS INSTALLS FILES ON MY PC WITH OUT ME KNOWING , SO LIKE AN IDIOT I CLICK ON IT THINKING IT WAS MINE RIGHT AFTER I CLICKED ON IT MY PC SHUT OFF THEN IT WOULNT START BECAUSE MY ""NTLR WAS MISSING "" I DONT KNOW WAT THAT IS SO I JUST MADE ANOTHER WINDOWS VERSION AND RETRIVED MY FILES THEN REFORMATED. BUT THE VIRUS JUSTT KEEPS POPING UP ,, AND SORRY IF I AM NOT EXPLAINING MYSELF WELL BUT I HAVE TO RUSH THIS POST BECAUSE OF THIS VIRUS.

Well I Am Still Learn About Computers So I Am Not Sure If I Did A Full Re Format But I Use The Two Cds That Came With My Pc/the Sofware Cd Rom And The Driver Diagnostic I Delete All The Existing Data And Then Create A New Windows. Heres Another Pic Of What I Am Getting

BY THE WAY MY CLOCK IS ALWAYS WRONG, AND THESE ARE THE PROGRAMS THAT ARE WITH THE VIRUS WICH I CANT REMOVE. I THINK THIS IS A CASE OF ""PRORAT"" WICH IS USED TO HACK ECT.. I THINK I HAVE HAD PEOPLE SEND ME THIS BEFORE OR SOME ONE MUST OF INSTALLED IT ON WHILE I WAS AWAY FROM MY DESTOP. HERES A PICK

Almost anything and everything can be deleted from a computer, so if you're sure you know what files it is then you can just delete them. Inserts have probably been put into the registry to make the virus startup everytime your computer does (but dont attempt to delete them uless you know exactly what you're doing). The reason that it is probably redirecting your browser is because it must have put a command into the internet do direct it there first, perhaps to redownload or somesuch. Just make sure you get rid of all of it otherwise the entire cycle may start again.

Download HJTsetup.exe from this link http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
Doubleclick on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This. Please install it there.
Continue to click "next" in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the "Select Addition Tasks" dialogue.
Put a check by "Create a desktop icon" then click "Next" again.
Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
At the final dialogue box click "Finish" and it will launch Hijack This.
Click on the "Do a system scan and save a logfile" button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log and post it in this thread.

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip to your Desktop.
Extract all the files to your Destop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter
This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Post this log also.

WELL HERES WHAT I GOT

Few things before we go any farther. You DIDN'T RENAME HijackThis.exe to HJT.exe. Secondly, you have no Service packs installed. Please download and install SP1. Once completed, rename HijackThis to HJT.exe and post the log.

When You Say To Rename It You Mean The Shortcut On My Desktop Top ? Because I Did Just That, And I Am Dowloading A Service Pack As I Write

Some malware will hide entries from HijackThis which is why i'm asking you to rename it. Notice that there are no R0,R1,02,03 entries in your log?.

Follow these directions.

Proceed to 'C:\Program Files\Hijackthis\HijackThis.exe' Right click on it and select 'Rename'. Hit the 'Backspace Button' and type in 'Show'. Hit the 'Enter Button'. Now double click on 'Show', run it, save and post the log. I don't need the Smitfraud log.

heres one of my new errors , but i think i may have killed the virus with trojan remover ... i also hacked the registry and deleted some of the virus and when it would pop back up i tracked to my system 32 folder, and killed the process with unlocker ..
but i still get this error.. i think i deleted something that wasnt a virus also
