My budget is pretty much $1100, not a penny over and preferrably less that that.

I need a better processor because i think that will be the bottleneck (correct me if i am wrong)

It would be almost unrealistic for me to stretch another $100 seeing as i already have. I reconfigured from 2gb of ram and a 6800 GPU to what i have now and a cheaper burner and cheaper hard drive for a better PSU.

I know the case is a money hog but it seems very practical with those fans + i absolutely love how it looks. it also looks spacious. Even if i got a different case it would probably have worse performance and only save about $20-30. however this is still an option.

the light up keyboard will come in great handy, I am still learning how to type without looking at the keyboard and this will be in my room which is fairly dark almost all the time, very poor lighting.

like i said I can't stretch any further $ wise than about $1100, and i still need to get the OS and all the equipment for hooking it up to the internet with a wireless connection even though we have 1 pc on the internet through a cable.

so any ideas? btw this is my first build.

well first of all it shuldnt be that big of a bottleneck at all. it might not even be one in the first place. and if u really want to upgrade ur processor u might wanan get a cheaper ram. that ram u have now is very nice ram and unless u plan on truly overclokcing i personally dont think u need it.

ok, that's good it wont be much of one at all, i was worried for a bit lol

and i guess if it is i will overclock :)

by the time i start to think my new pc is slow (im upgrading from 2.6ghz p4, 512 ram, POS) i should know enough about Ocing to do it.

thank you, i thought it would be one. then again, what do i know? :)
