i am trying to make myself a good gaming computer, but i'm worried about the cost as i don't really have that much disposable income and was wondering if i could get help with making a computer cheaper with a similar or greater power output.

this is what i have so far

Graphics card: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 OC 6GB $369

CPU: i7 7700 $429

Memory: G.Skill Fortis F4-2133C15D-16GFT (2x8GB) Ryzen DDR4 $169

Hard drive: Seagate FireCuda 1TB Desktop SSHD ST1000DX002 $115

Mother board: MSI B250M Gaming Pro Motherboard $149

Case: Corsair Graphite 230T Case with Window Rebel Orange which is $105

Power supply: SilverStone SFX Gold 450W ST45SF-G $109

Monitor: 19” to 22” 1080p ≈$150 each (want two)

OS: Windows 10 ≈$70

Optical Drive: LG GH24NSD1 24x SATA DVD-RW Drive OEM $19

Estimated cost: $1831

all these prices are from PC case gear as ive heard its quite good when it comes to price

That Corsair 230t requires an ATX power supply not an SFX unit.

From what I'm seeing you could build that cheaper then buying it from them.

SSHD's aren't worth it. Just get a regular 1tb HDD. I would get a SSD as boot drive and then 1tb as storage.

What games do you play?

Motherboard - Gigabyte B250M-D3H $129
Cpu - Intel Core i5 7600K $335 I don't think you'll need the I7
Ram - G.Skill Fortis F4-2400C15D-16GFT (2x8GB) Ryzen DDR4 $169 - Little faster ram
HDD - Western Digital WD Blue 1TB WD10EZEX $69
PSU - Corsair CX-500 V3 Power Supply $85
SDD - Western Digital Blue PC SSD 250GB $139 Samsung 850 evo sold out

Probably would pick a cheaper case unless you want that color.

Those were just my changes. I tried finding a cheaper video card but it seems Australia is somewhat expensive. Could go cheaper AMD route but you wouldn't get 6gb of vram either 4 or 8. With 8gb you would be paying about the same as the 1060.

Im just looking over the parts you recomended, and noticed the motherboard only has 4 fan headers, im not sure if thats enough

The one you picked only had 3 with 1 being for the cpu. So the board I picked has 1 more connector. You can always use molex to psu connection.

Ok some one on a different forum suggested a 1070 and a G4560 would be good and cost effective
That's a terrible suggestion. Ryzen 5 and an RX 570/580 would be much more cost effective. G4560 would bottleneck the 1070 to crap.

Ok but the ryzen 5 isnt compatible with the motherboard, so I could end up paying more when I switch out the parts
So just by changing out for the following (see picture) I've increased the price by 6 dollars assuming you keep the remaining stuff the same and if my calculations are right. You get a 1070 out of it which has way more gaming impact than an i7 would and the 1600X would arguably multitask better and game nearly just as well as a 7700 would.

Ryzen makes way more economical sense, and you can dump the savings into a huge graphics card upgrade with the 1070 over the 1060.

Clearly you don't want my help so you're on your own pal.

Sockets are right, if there's anyone here that knows Ryzen stuff it'd be me. Drop to a 1600 for included cooling and even save more money.

@Intel_man 1600X comes without a cooler actually. They assume if you're getting the enthusiast chip you'll go aftermarket cooling anyway.
