I have a 2007 Emachiines Windows Vista. I installed xp on it and now i cant get audio. I have tried everything but same result. Are my hardrives messed up? i dont know but i need help

Well you should have made sure there would be XP drivers available before you did that... Check out the emachines website and see if they have XP drivers for your model. Most of the newer emachines are not going to have that though, so you will have to do some digging.

I have the operating disk do you think the drivers would be on there. So i can download them seperatly.

They will be on there maybe, but they will be the Vista drivers not XP ones. Like I said, it will probably not be easy to find them depending on what sound card you have. Again, always do your research before just deciding to downgrade.

Ahh the classic new mistake of downgrading before looking. I cannot tell you how many pc's i have worked on where a client comes to me after days and cannot find the driver. Sometimes they get lucky and i will find one thats good enough to work but many new pc manufacturer's are not making xp drivers for their new systems its just a fact if you didnt want vista you shoudlnt have bought a pc that came preinstalled and if i had a bet has a sticker right on it that says designed for windows vista not one that says designed for xp vista ready huh...
