I need help...

I have a problem and looks like there's no way out...I start my PC , after bios processor and ddr informations, instead of windows xp logo it appears a black screen with an horizontal white stripe similar like that one when you're starting recovery console.It takes more than 10 minutes to disappear and windows xp logo to appear.What should I do?That white stripe is really annoying and can wait 15 min for windows to start!

What computer do you have?

Do you have anything in the CD Drive?

Does the pc boot into Windows without you having to press any keys?

CPU:AMD Athlon 3000+
DDR: 2,5 ddr2 Kingmax
MBR:Asus M2V VIA
GPU:ATI 1600 Pro 256 mbr
XP SP2

still perform well except this time with this issue!I don't have anything in cd drive!And yes,the pc boot into Windows without you having to press any keys!

Just that white stripe that remain on the black screen, and after 15 min simply disappear and come windows logo and everything is fine after!

Try upgrading to XP SP3 and see if the problem persists.
If it does, try Repairing windows with the XP cd.
