so I deleted my entire partition in my laptop because i wanted to start completely over and load windows 7 onto it, and because it would give me something to do. Well now that it is formatted and clean I cant get anything to boot to it, I inserted my iso of windows 7 and it wont read. the disc is good cuz it works in every other computer. So i tried pulling the drive and hooking it up to usb, i tried booting to usb and even that wont let me either, it just skips right through and boots windows. Why wont it work??
 
tried that, i changed it to boot to usb when i plugged it in via usb and i tried booting to cd and that didnt work either, it would just skip it all together and try to boot to hd
 
Don't use usb, use the cdrom on the system. If it still won't boot then the cd isn't bootable.
 
i got it to work, i pulled the drive and stuck it into another laptop and booted to the cd and it worked. Thanks
