I need help

I was installing memory and a cd burner when the power supply went out. So switched the power supply and now everything works' but the video card does not work or it may be the pci slot I don't know.

If you had the supply powered up while working on the case that would damage something fast. Your video card may have lifted up in the slot resulting in you now seeing a blank screen. Try reseating the card in the slot to make it is down fully in the slot.

The card may have simply quit on you in that case. Do you have an extra card available to run that temporarily to see if this is not a board not card problem you are seeing?

I tried putting it in another pci slot I even tried another video card and does not work but everything else is powering up

The video controller would be part of the board itself. Are you sure it's not the monitor that quit? Have you tried rhat on another system to see if that went before assuming a chip on the board went. How old is the monitor?

The monitor work and I even switched monitors to if that was the problem and I put other pcs on the monitor and it worked fine

Either both of the video cards you put in were foobar or something went on your main board. It does point at a hardware if you are not even seeing anything on the screen at all when first powering it up. Have you heard any multibeeps when first turning on the system?
