okay so i am new here and i really need help. i am trying to install a game on my computer (software) and i am doing everything right but this keeps coming up:

"C:\windows\SYSTEM32|AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications."

is there something i can do to fix this or something that i can do to play the game?? thanks

Welcome to Computer Forum.

It sounds like you are trying to play an older dos game. You might want to try out a 3'rd party application like Dosbox I'm not familiar with the application. I've not played a dos game since Windows 98.

Also be aware that you can try and run older games in "compatibility mode". You can access this feature by left clicking on a games/apps icon and clicking the "Compatibility" tab. Not so sure if this feature will help in your particular case though.

just a question.. but what game is it? I know Tomb Raider 2 and 3 have the same problem.. and there are some fixed .exe's downloadable for them, so that do run on xp.
