I need laptop driver help please

Hi,

First off I have a older Toshiba Satellite Pro 4200 series. The computer was getting really slow and the virtual memory was basically full because I would always get warnings about it. So what I did was re install the Windows XP and now I can't get my 2wire Internet card to work. I believe that your suppose to install it with a CD which I tried with one of the CD's I have thinking that it was that but it hasn't worked.

Then I did a search for 2wire driver downloads and I came up to this site.

http://support.2wire.com/index.php?page=view&article=771
(I hope its ok to post other links)

When I clicked on the 32 bit driver hyperlink than I saved the file onto my flash drive and than extracted the files on my laptop but than I didn't know what to do after that.

I have no clue if that's even what I'm suppose to do. The number number for my 2wire card is 1000-1000016-002.

If you need anymore information let me know. I figured this forum could help me through my problem. I'm getting frustrated because I don't know what I'm doing. Thanks in advance for any help.

It would be so much easier if you would just contact your provider for the correct driver.

My view is that you need to install the motherboard drivers to allow for the PCIe lanes to be used for the adaptor.

Right click on Computer and select properties. Click on Device Manager. Insert the motherboard that came with the laptop is you have it.

Find any yellow flagged items and right click on each and select update driver. Navigate to the Drivers folder on the CD and let it install. If it doesn't find anything on the CD use the Windows Update option.

If all goes well, run Windows Update and check for driver updates now that your computer recognises the hardware.

Restart.

if you have got internet connection go to google and type [tous les driver]. it's a french site and there you need to click on detection automatic en ligne and it will automatically search for drivers you need.
hope it will help you.

Don't use that crap, just give us your specs.

no need to search internet, go to Toshiba official support home page directly and search the model of your laptop in it and all of drivers of this laptop will be listed there for download.
