So my laptop (acer aspire 1690) starts showing stripes on the screens.I shut it down, turn it back on, its fine.Some days later im playing a game and it happens again.I shut it down, turn it back on again and it happens again.my mouse still moves and sound still comes out but i can't do anything.i take it to pc care, for them to tell me what's wrong with it.they tell me its the graphic card and i ask if i can't be replaced.they say my graphics card is "merged" with my motherboard so I'd have to replace my motherboad too.The guy at pc care tells me i should buy a new laptop because a motherboard with graphics card like my own will cost the same as a new computer. i saw some great computers(beter than mine) for 500.I'd like your opinion on if i should buy a new one or try to replace my motherboard.
