I need Netbook

I am gifting my friend a netbook in a weeks time.
I guess he would mostly use it for movies, internet browsing, website designing.
I have a budget of 250 to 300 $.
I have no idea whats going on in the netbook market out there, can you guys suggest me a netbook?

Avoid this model Acer, it only comes with 1G RAM and that's it's MAX!

http://www.buy.com/prod/acer-aspire-...221483954.html is the better one. It comes with 2G RAM and is expandable to 4G. It also comes with Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. The ASUS models come with 32-bit OS and only 1G RAM.

That's the general consensus. However, in my family we have 6 netbooks, 4 Acers and 2 Asus. We have never had any issues with any of them. Since I switch back and forth between an Acer and an Asus fairly regularly I can tell you that IMO the Acer's keyboard is superior while the Asus keyboard feels flimsy and cheap.

I don't feel the quality of Asus netbooks is significantly better than the Acer netbooks so I would decide based on features, not perceived quality.

My familiy didn't own 6 laptop

However, among my friends, it is quite often my friends who own Acer saying their laptop have problems. Or would it be the case that I got more friends own acer laptop??
