Well recently my graphics card shot up i think or it was my pci-e port, anyways since i now am running on a what i call shiity computer (1.8ghz that sometimes runs in 1.2ghz and will be in 113F temperature without the case on, motherboard temp will be around 80F, and i only have a 250Watt supply, and what really pisses me off that since i didn't know anything about computers at the time i bought this computer for $900 bout 3 years ago at bestbuy after all the crap they offered. I was 12 at the time so didn't know anything and all i wanted was a computer. So now my question is, do i upgrade this one or just build a new one from scratch and sell this one and use the money to build the other one.

Honestly from what you say, 250w PSU, is that peak? And BB. If gas gets under $3 a gallon get one and burn it. It is not even worth $3.60 to burn.

Yes you should start from scratch. I have doubts if even the screws are worth salvaging on that.

Sorry, but starting over sometimes is best.

But you did get 3 years out of it and sounds like you know more now than before you started. I won't even ask about RAM or HDD's, just start over.

Hold on bro...you need to learn a bit about this thing.

1- The CPU down-clocking itself is normal. It's a power saving technique.

2- Those temperatures are perfectly fine. The CPU is a bit on the warm side, but you can't expect much from a stock cooler. (That's 45C and 26.6C, for anyone too lazy to translate it)

3- Anything with a 1.8GHz processor will probably run fine on a 250W power supply, especially if there's no dedicated video card.

You're right though, $900 was a ripoff...as is most stuff in Best Buy.

What is the make and model of the computer?

1 -About the cpu, i learned that it was in cool and quiet so are you talking about that?
2- Oh ok
3- Yea but im a gamer and graphic designer, this feels like a everyday computer that you just surf the web. Im not saying the E2160 cpu is bad its damn good but for my needs not really its just not working for me.
