i need some help AMD Athlon 64 3000+

how much better is the AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor than a athlon xp 2800 barton core 256k primary cache and 512 secondary thanx in advance

It would be a huge improvement! especially in games, higher clock speed, 64-bit, faster FSB, and newer socket. Whats the L2 cache with the athlon 64?

Hmm

I had a 2800+ equivalent (1800+ OC'D) and the performance increase is considerable. I am sure that you will notice it as well. However, I think that the main difference is in the entire architecture of a Socket 939 system which is certainly more efficient and faster. The Athlon 64 3000+ has 512KB L2 cache.
