Bonehead's suggestion of a 580 over a 6950 is gonna double your budget for video cards. A 6950 is a fast, fast card, and it will max everything. Even a 560 or 560ti will. You don't need to go overboard, its not worth it unless you have the cash to spend. In 5 years, it will be obsolete. (For new games that come out in that time)

for the heatsink you could prob get a antec or corsair liquid cooler for that much. also the psu i think i heard those are good but there are better brands like antec/corsair/xfx/silverstone/seasonic/pc power and cooling

In bf3 the 580 can just max it out and get 40 fps and ideally you want 60

My 570 with my dual core gets 40 fps (And thats the beta, doesn't reflect the real game with the real settings) so spending $200+ for one game is a bit ridiculous to me.

did you have it on ultra with like tessalation and all that crap enabled and were you playing on 1080p or higher resolution

If you don't want to spend $450 on a graphics card, I would go with a 560TI or a 570. The 560TI will get you over 30 FPS (which is fluid motion) on max settings in BF3, $100 dollars more you can get an extra 4 FPS with a 570. It's up to you though, don't listen to bonehead because if he had his way everyone in the world would be Nvidia... and have 2 x 580's in SLI. Obviously he is not budget minded like most of us here trying to get the best bang for our buck.
