I Need To Know How To Increase My Memory On My Computer Without Adding Additional Mem

Does anyone know how to increase the memory on your computer without adding a new memory card. My computer is running a little slow and I do not have that many programs on it apart from the basics. How can I get my computer to run faster? :)
 
The msconfig utility is used for disabling any unnecessary startup items for freeing up additional ram. Other Windows tweaks depend on the version of Windows you are running.

Could be.

Before doing anything drastic,,have you loaded CCleaner and ran it?If you have been building up tmp files and stuff,run this utility and watch your computer speed up a bunch.Use this utility to stop a lot of your start up programs too.Start up should really only consist of your anti virus and very basic MIN stuff.If you have AOL,Yahoo Messenger,weather and a dozen other things on start up,,you are robbing system performance.

disable visual effects
use more efficient programs
increase pagefile

still... the best method is to buy more ram. we can help you step by step if needed

CCleaner is not a cure all merely a small tool for freeing up drive space by finding and removing clutter from now useless temp installation and uninstall folders left lingering on the drive.

For Vista over XP the Aero stlyes are one type of memory grabber there. Switching to the Classic Windows works even in XP as well as the new version since you haven't mentioned which version you are running there.
