I need to know if my computer can use a certain video card and which ones it can use.

I want to use an ATI radeon 9200 256mb video card on it, i tried yesterday and it didnt work but i think i might not have put it in right but could someone tell me if it is compatible with my computer which is an hp pavilion 7850. and which video cards can it use.

Is it a PCI or AGP card, it should say on the box.
